Harry Potter has never been the star of a Quidditch team, scoring points while riding a broom far above the ground. He knows no spells, has never helped to hatch a dragon, and has never worn a cloak of invisibility.
All he knows is a miserable life with the Dursleys, his horrible aunt and uncle, and their abominable son, Dudley — a great big swollen spoiled bully. Harry’s room is a tiny closet at the foot of the stairs, and he hasn’t had a birthday party in eleven years.
But all that is about to change when a mysterious letter arrives by owl messenger: a letter with an invitation to an incredible place that Harry — and anyone who reads about him — will find unforgettable.
For it’s there that he finds not only friends, aerial sports, and magic in everything from classes to meals, but a great destiny that’s been waiting for him… if Harry can survive the encounter.

This is one of the best books ever!!!! The trio, Harry, Ron, and Hermione work wonderfully together!!! I read this is seventh grade, the entire series twice in seven months. I still remember it clearly! I'm think everyone should read this book as long as they enjoy fantasy. I'm in ninth grade by the way.
If you like to read you will like it. Once you read it there will be a whole new world opened up to you. Everyone should read at least one harry potter book in their lifetime. I wish I could give it a higher score but I can. Also the series keeps getting better and better.
i rally love harry potter and plus it is funny
I look at movie,is so good😁
I like it is so cool
This book was an incredible book, I would give it a higher score, if the sequels were not so amazing. This is a very good 1st book in the series. It starts in the beginning really explaining WHY Harry hates the Dursleys so much. Then, when the magic is a part of the story, it fills the reader with amazement, and curiosity. With the four houses, (Ravenclaw is the best) it shows the different crowds of people, making this book very relatable, even if it is mainly based on fiction. I would recommend this book to anybody 8+ (just because the age is small, this book is good even to adults.)
love it and request it
BEST BOOK SERIES EVER!!!!!!!!!! I RECOMEND THIS TO ANYONE OF ANY AGE!!!
It's about a young wizard called Harry. He discovers a magical school called Hogwarts.
