This is such a good book. It is about a boy named Harry who is admitted to Hogwarts (the school for wizards and witches). As he goes to the school everyday, he meets new people just like him. He also faces some problems with other characters. It is Harry's job to defeat the antagonist (Lord Voldemort), which always makes Harry's scar burn. 100/100 recommended!!!!

I like this book and this is my favourite book
For people deciding if they should read this book, just read it. This is not the best book in the series, for sure, but the rest of the series is just..... Amazing. Everyone thinks the harry Potter series is hyped up, but it really isn't. The first book, I have to say, is pretty boring. It's just setting the mood, but once you get past the first, maybe second, and maybe even third book, you'll see how much of a genius Rowling really is. I have never liked fantasy, and I loved this series, I hate rereading books, and I've read this series 10 times, so just read it. If you really don't want to put your time into it, get the audiobook, Jim Dale is an amazing narrator and you can listen to it while you're doing something else
