This special edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone has a gorgeous new cover illustration by Kazu Kibuishi. Inside is the full text of the original novel, with decorations by Mary GrandPré.

Harry Potter has never been the star of a Quidditch team, scoring points while riding a broom far above the ground. He knows no spells, has never helped to hatch a dragon, and has never worn a cloak of invisibility.

All he knows is a miserable life with the Dursleys, his horrible aunt and uncle, and their abominable son, Dudley — a great big swollen spoiled bully. Harry’s room is a tiny closet at the foot of the stairs, and he hasn’t had a birthday party in eleven years.

But all that is about to change when a mysterious letter arrives by owl messenger: a letter with an invitation to an incredible place that Harry — and anyone who reads about him — will find unforgettable.

For it’s there that he finds not only friends, aerial sports, and magic in everything from classes to meals, but a great destiny that’s been waiting for him… if Harry can survive the encounter.

At first I thought Harry Potter was a story with no magic in it. And then my mom read "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" to me and I loved it, and so does my sister. I think a lot of people should read this. I have listened to all the books on audio and watched all the movies but I haven't read all the books (they are long, that's what I know!). A lot of my classmates have only seen one or two of them and I have seen every one of them. A lot of people don't believe me, but I have, and I think you should too. It's a really good story and it has a good storyline. A lot of movies have killing for no reason, but the killing in this story has actually got a reason to it. The characters that I most like are Harry, Hermione, Ron, Hagrid, Dumbledore, and Dobby (although he is in a different book in the series). That's my review and I think everybody should read it. Goodbyyyyeeee.

This book is for the ones who love witchcraft, wizardry, and a little bit of excitement too. Harry Potter is wizard. Only, he doesn't know that. Come join the fun when Harry finds out he is a wizard!

This is a book for the ones who like adventure, fairy tale, and excitement. Harry Potter lives with his horrible aunt and uncle. One day, he finds out he is a wizard and goes to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Read to find out more!

I love this book. It is he firs book in the Harry Potter series. I won it in a book giveaway. Can't wait to read the others.

Harry Potter is a wizard. Except he doesn't know it. When he finally figures out, he is net to Hogwarts, the school for witchcraft and wizardry. Harry meets some friends, foes, and quirky teachers along the way. But somehow, he hears about a performer's stone that Voldemort is after. Will Harry stop him? Read to find out!

A boy who lives with his neglecting aunt and uncle discovers something about himself. Not only is he a wizard, he is also the boy who lived. The boy who survived the wicked Lord Voldemort, or You-Know-Who. On his journey in Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry, Harry makes some new friends: Hermione, an intelligent muggle-born, and Ron, a red-headed Weasley boy that completed the trio. He also befriends Hagrid, the gamekeeper of the school. During the school year, he learns that though the Dark Lord, Lord Voldemort, was defeated, he was trying to be reborn. A strange professor was the body that Voldemort chose to share and what Voldemort wanted was a stone that would make him live again. Harry stops him from getting the stone and lives happily ever after, well not really.

Harry potter is such a good series. I am a total Ravenclaw when it comes down to it. This series is a must, I applaud J.K. Rowling for getting the guts to write and make the series so appealing to all generations.

LOVE THIS BOOK! Kinda reminds me of the Percy Jackson series, though in my opinion, HP was better written.
