This special edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone has a gorgeous new cover illustration by Kazu Kibuishi. Inside is the full text of the original novel, with decorations by Mary GrandPré.

Harry Potter has never been the star of a Quidditch team, scoring points while riding a broom far above the ground. He knows no spells, has never helped to hatch a dragon, and has never worn a cloak of invisibility.

All he knows is a miserable life with the Dursleys, his horrible aunt and uncle, and their abominable son, Dudley — a great big swollen spoiled bully. Harry’s room is a tiny closet at the foot of the stairs, and he hasn’t had a birthday party in eleven years.

But all that is about to change when a mysterious letter arrives by owl messenger: a letter with an invitation to an incredible place that Harry — and anyone who reads about him — will find unforgettable.

For it’s there that he finds not only friends, aerial sports, and magic in everything from classes to meals, but a great destiny that’s been waiting for him… if Harry can survive the encounter.

in my opinion it is the best book of the series full of mysteries and suspicion at first i thought that snape was the one who was helping lord Voldemort but it was quirrell this book is full of surprises. Once you read it I guess you would also like harry want to get a letter from Hogwarts. I suggest you start reading this book .

In my opinion, this is the best book series in the world. It stars Harry Potter, eleven year old wizard who goes to Hogwarts and befriends Ron Weasley, a one of seven other red-headed wizards, and Hermione Granger, a clever, muggleborn witch. as they go on adventures full of mischief and magic, Harry finds a home for the first time since his parents were killed by Voldemort...well, you'll learn more about him later on. I would recommend this book for kids in 2nd to 4th grade, but if you hadn't read any of the books, anytime is a good time to start.

I'm still reading this book but it is so interesting! (even though I have watched all of the movies and I haven't read the books, but now I am!)

Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone is about a boy named Harry Potter who goes to a school called Hogwarts. There he learns magic but along the way he has somebody following him inside the walls. But he doesn't know who. I recommend this to people who like magical books and I recommend it because it will be a good magical book and a good mystery.

this is my favorite series in the whole world
