This special edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone has a gorgeous new cover illustration by Kazu Kibuishi. Inside is the full text of the original novel, with decorations by Mary GrandPré.

Harry Potter has never been the star of a Quidditch team, scoring points while riding a broom far above the ground. He knows no spells, has never helped to hatch a dragon, and has never worn a cloak of invisibility.

All he knows is a miserable life with the Dursleys, his horrible aunt and uncle, and their abominable son, Dudley — a great big swollen spoiled bully. Harry’s room is a tiny closet at the foot of the stairs, and he hasn’t had a birthday party in eleven years.

But all that is about to change when a mysterious letter arrives by owl messenger: a letter with an invitation to an incredible place that Harry — and anyone who reads about him — will find unforgettable.

For it’s there that he finds not only friends, aerial sports, and magic in everything from classes to meals, but a great destiny that’s been waiting for him… if Harry can survive the encounter.

I love harry potter book series i finished them all in two months

Harry potter the boy who must live to save the entire world I love this book I geek out for the series;)!!

This book is amazing i read all of them in just two months!!!!!!

I think this book is not bad comparing to the other series that they have. In the story I think the magical world is a very creative idea that everyone liked and enjoyed. The story line was very organize but also not too easy to understand. Overall I think this is a great book with basically nothing I don't like.

This book is 50x better than the movie. I read it and it is good. Its about a boy who lived a curse that is a insta-kill. But it killed his parent's. So he has to live with his muggle (non-magic user) aunt and uncle who are mean to him. He never knew he was a wizard until his 12th birthday, when a wizard came to give him a invitation to go to Hogwart's. If you like to read (like me), or liked the movie, READ THIS BOOK!

This book was amazing just like the rest of the series, new spells, teachers, plot twist, but don't get bored by the intro. You'll dive into Harry's world and most likely get addicted like I did. Don't give up on reading it if you get bored, because with all JK Rowling books it gets better.
