"The Eighth Story. Nineteen Years Later.

Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, a new play by Jack Thorne, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the eighth story in the Harry Potter series and the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage. The play will receive its world premiere in London’s West End on July 30, 2016.

It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children.

While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places."

no no no i cant resist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wait a minute i finished the book!

SPOILER ALERT I was honestly disappointed. I mean, you can tell that this is NOT written by J K Rowling. I just felt like there is so many things you can do with this! There's Neville, Luna, George, Teddy Lupin.... So many characters that hardly got mentioned! I was very excited when I started, I loved the idea of Albus being is Slytherin, and being friends with Scorpius Malfoy. But there are several things I was just disappointed about. Hermione, minister? A bit drastic if you ask me. If Ron's taken over Weasleys Wizard Weazes, where's George? That doesn't seem like something he would do. Harry, I feel like, was a little out of character. And I almost rolled my eyes at the Trolley Witch. Cedric was not a main character. Why him? If you're going to bring back Cedric, why don't you bring back Lupin, Tonks, Mad-eye, Fred, and especially Dumbledore! Also. May I ask, how in the world did Voldemort have a child?? It just doesn't make sense! Bellatrix was a servant, not anything like a wife! And, if it was right before the battle of Hogwarts, how can she fight? And how was she doing all the stuff before like torturing mudbloods? That's active stuff! I just feel like it was quite forced. All the others where so good, I just felt let down. I guess it would make a good play, but I like to think of it as an opinion as to what happens after, rather than an eighth book.

I know :( The things that were supposed to drive the plot were basically nonexistent and utterly boring - the whole Cedric drama was supposed to be closed in the fourth book - some stuff was exaggerated so that fans could be happy, but everything and everyone was so OOC (out of character).. just the worst.

Yeeeees I know what you mean! Sooo exaggerated. I totally thought people where gonna be mad at me for writing that review and I am so glad that you guys agree!!

Thank you! I'm glad you agree.😊

*SPOILER ALERT* With this book I had mixed feelings. When I read Harry potter was behind a desk, and Hermionie was minister for magic, and Ron took over Weasily Wizard Wheezes? I was honestly a bit shocked. Harry Potters Son, Slytherin? Good story Plot, I guess, but not very realistic! Voldemort having a child? Oookkaayy, the authors sound a biiittt desperate there. Time turners? Jumping off trains? Crazy Trolly Ladies? I never thought The Trolly Witch was violent. So, The plot was good, the play fabulous, but not a good book, you know what I mean? I think that this is a good book, but Its not my favorite Harry Potter book. Honestly, a tad disappointing, but worth the read!

I agree that the writers kinda overstepped their boundaries with the whole Delphi storyline and they exaggerated everything so much that it honestly made me kind of upset. Harry Potter is supposed to be complicated, but not overdone - and it's supposed to be simple, with a simple message, so that everything comes together in the end. This book? It left me confused.
