In one of the most hotly anticipated sequel in memory, J.K. Rowling takes up where she left off with Harry's second year at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Old friends and new torments abound, including a spirit named Moaning Myrtle who haunts the girls' bathroom, an outrageously conceited professor, Gilderoy Lockheart, and a mysterious force that turns Hogwarts students to stone.

This is a great book and so is the rest of the series

WARNING: THIS BOOK REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS.* Young, and brave Harry Potter never knew he was famous in the wizardry world. He was stuck with his aunt, uncle, and porky cousin, Dudley Dursley. In the Dursleys' house, you are forbidden to talk about anything that is beyond ordinary. It was until Hagrid kept sending them letters for Harry. No matter where they moved, Hagrid found them. This part really made me read on, because I wanted to know who sent the letters, which weren't signed (it was sent by Hagrid). Hagrid finally met them at a location Uncle Vernon would never think he'd know. He told Harry that he was accepted into Hogwarts, which made Uncle Vernon and Hagrid argue. Uncle Vernon said he was suppose to be ordinary. To me, arguing in this book is exciting :) He made the mistake of telling Hagrid he had told Harry nothing about wizards and witches. Hagrid finally got mad at him when he insulted Professor Dumbledore, so he used his umbrella and accidentally turned some of Dudley into a pig (he was aiming at Uncle Vernon). This part will really make you laugh! Hagrid gets Harry his new stuff for Hogwarts, and for his birthday, an owl named Hedwig. Harry has a lightning shaped scar on his forehead, which he'd always wanted to know how he'd gotten. He finds out that Lord Voldemort had tried to kill him, that's how his parents and siblings died. When Voldemort tried to kill Harry, he failed and lost all his powers. That's how Harry is famous. But even though he lost his powers, there are rumors that he may still be alive.. somewhere.. with some power... Read to find out if Lord Voldemort is alive and after Harry!

This one of the best books I have ever read and I have read lots of books. Harry potter is my favourite series in the whole in world! J.K Rowling is a really good author becasue of her describing words.

I rated this 4 stars because I don't like Gilderoy Lockheart , but I think Harry Potter, Ron and Hermione were really brave.
