As soon as I finished reading this book, I immediately went to Dogo to write a review. In the beginning, the book was a bit hard to get into, as it was more slow-paced and uneventful, but soon after, Shannon Hale didn't disappoint. There was action, drama, and suspense! If it were a movie, I'd watch it ten times over, as it is, I'm probably going to read it multiple times. It follows along the basic plot of "The Goose Girl" by the Brothers Grimm but adds breezy and immersive descriptions, beautiful characters, and commendable plot that turns it from a bed-time story to a fantastical, spellbinding tale of betrayal, friendship, and a fair share of magic.

I LOVE this book! This is about an girl named Anidori, Ani for short. When someone in the castle where Ani lived, kicked her out of the kingdom, Ani feels free than usual then decides to return by using different name, Isi, her grandmother`s name, returned to the kingdom, became the kingdom`s goose girl, met an prince in disguise named Geric. Then if I rememeber it correctly, Geric and Isi got married. Again, I love this book! I definitely recommend this book! I rate this 5 stars!

Amazing book.
When Princess Ani goes on a journey to marry a prince so a possible war can be stopped, her lady-in-waiting, who looks almost completely identical to Ani, pretends to be her and threatens to kill Ani. So she runs away and becomes a goose girl, while making some friends. The wedding must be stopped, but how will Ani be able to prove that she is the real princess? I would recommend this for ages 10+ I loved this book. The pace was perfect and everything was really exciting. I would definitely recommend this.
