And as streams of light fan out behind the darkened sun like the wings of a butterfly, I realize that I never saw real beauty until now.
At Moon Shadow, an isolated campground, thousands have gathered to catch a glimpse of a rare and extraordinary total eclipse of the sun. It's also were three lives are about to be changed forever:
Ally likes the simple things in life--labyrinths, star-gazing, and comet-hunting. Her home, the Moon Shadow campground, is a part of who she is, and she refuses to imagine it any other way.
Popular and gorgeous (everybody says so), Bree is a future homecoming queen for sure. Bree wears her beauty like a suit of armor. But what is she trying to hide?
Overweight and awkward, jack is used to spending a lot of time alone. But when opportunity knocks, he finds himself in situations he never would have imagined and making friends in the most unexpected situations.
Told from three distinct voices and perspectives, Wendy Mass weaves an intricate and compelling story about strangers coming together, unlikely friendships, and finding one's place in the universe.

a good book
This book is amazing!!!!!!!!!! I love it because it is told from 3 different perspectives. Ally's, Bree's and Jack's. It is about these 3 kids who meet at an eclipse campground for a few reasons. Jack failed Science, Bree is going to be part of the family who owns it, and Ally's family owns it. they come together and soon form a fantastic friendship that really brings them together and reminds them what having a friend is all about. I won't give anymore away. You just have to read it to find out. It definitely is a 5 star book and if you haven't read it, you should.
i love this book! I especially like Bree..She rocks!
This is the best book ever!!!
A touching story about friendship, a spectacular eclipse, and new situations. Told from the perspective of 3 different teens (Ally, Bree, and Jack), this story is about those 3 kids who come together to view an eclipse. Jack is there because he failed science class, Bree because she will soon be moving to the viewing campground, and Ally because she owns the campground. The story's theme is finding friends in unlikely places, proving that every soul really does have a star. But it's much more than that. Every Soul a Star let's you inside the heads of 3 funny, deserving teens and gives you a chance to bush up your astronomy skills along the way. I highly recommend!
This book has to do with astronomy and problems with alot of peoples lives told in different points of view
I read this book for a book report and I could not believe how good of a book it was. It was funny and sad and sooo fun to read! The three kids were doing some fun stuff that will knock your socks off!
