I loved the book it was great it took time to read it i love reading it

Esperanza loved her life in El Rancho Del Las Rosas until a suden threat forces her and Mama to flee to California .

i love this book this is so sad when her dad dies in it

I think this is a funny and cute book I would have 4-5 graders read it because they would understand it more

This book was a Battle of the Books for my grade this year. It was interesting with the happiness and sadness all mixed together. It's a really inspiring tale with the lesson: You shouldn't be afraid to start over.

Wonderful book and It tells such a great story of a brave and strong young girl who overcomes so much in her life. I highly recommend this book!

Such an awesome book. It was really good.

I read this to my students every year. It's a great book!

She is inspiring and very brave. It was probably one of the best books I've ever read.

Esperanza was a funny inspiring character and I think Paul Munzo Ryan did a great job on this book. "Wait a little while while the fruit falls into your hand" -Papa
