Dork diaries is definitely a one of a kind book I love these books I have read this book like 10 times lol I love the beginning "sometimes I wonder if my mom is brain dead "lol Rachel Renee Russel did a WONDERFUL job on this book ... So Nikki is the new girl at her school and she feels like a dork especially with the mean girl Mackenzie breathing down her back and there's and boy she likes Brandon (😘) anyways a wonderful book I suggest ages 10 to 15 I rate this 4 stars!😝😝😝
This kind of reminded me of a girl version of Diary of a Wimpy Kid. It was a very fast and easy read for me, but even then it was really funny to read about all of her issues that she has to go through.
This is a wonderful book about Nikki Maxwell, who is going into 8th grade. It is all about her and her middle school experiences. During the school year, she meets Mackenzie Hollister, the "mean girl." Mackenzie is constantly doing things out of spite to Nikki, which makes reading this book a real pleasure. Nikki also finds the crush of her dreams; Brandon, so she is always trying to hang out with him. Written in the format of her diary, this relatable book tells you all about the life of an eighth grader in middle school.
The story is told from the perspective of middle schooler Nikki Maxwell, the only normal person in her family. Her wild family includes her dad, mom, and annoying sister Brianna. Her father is a bug exterminator who has to take care of a private middle school called Westchester Country Day School. Because of this contract, Nikki is arranged to attend the school on a scholarship. However, the school is filled with preppy students who are full of themselves. One girl that is especially self-absorbed is Mackenzie Hollister. She's the most popular girl in school and treats Nikki unfairly. Although there are mean people in the school, Nikki's two best friends Chloe and Zoey always have her back. She also notices a boy named Brandon and develops a crush on him. Overall, the diary entries of Nikki Maxwell are interesting because it is relatable to the lives of middle-schoolers. I recommend for a short, fun read!
Nikki Maxwell is your average girl trying to make it through life with her diary to help her! Read her entertaining and funny diary entries about her daily struggles at school and at home, with annoying little sisters, mean girls, and cute boys highlighting her stories! I personally liked this book because it’s like a Diary of a Wimpy Kid book, but different and interesting in its own way at the same time. I love Nikki’s reactions and description to the events in her life. They are hilarious! For anyone looking for a quick, fun read, check out this entertaining book! I give it 4/5 stars and recommend it for ages 7+!
I liked the plot and the drawing in the book. However the girl just seemed a little too cliched. Obviously there is the popular girl and a self conscious girl likes him and stutters a lot when talking to him.
This book is the first book of the Dork Diaries Series. This is only the start of the drama for Nikki Maxwell, a middle schooler who considers herself a dork.
this is a really good book. if you are in middle school i recommend you read this. it is so retell able! it starres Nickky and her nonstop pain Mackenzie
