Another great book in the 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid' series! Greg is not like most boys in the summer. Instead of playing outside like others, he chooses to stay inside and play video games. Greg's mom has a different view of Greg and wants the family to be together more and to do more outdoor activities. Greg wants a puppy but his parents say they have to wait until Manny ( Greg younger brother ) is old enough. Greg tries to keep giving his parents signals, but he fails. One day at brunch, Greg's dad hears a story about how his dog died and decides to get a dog without Greg or his family knowing. I recommend this book to anyone who loves humor/comedy. I've read this book about 6 times and personally love the characters, setting, and comedy!

i decided to read this book because it looked interesting and funny. i think it is a really good book and i would recommend this book.
