Charlie Joe Jackson may be the most reluctant reader ever born. And so far, he's managed to get through life without ever reading an entire book from cover to cover. But now that he's in middle school, avoiding reading isn't as easy as it used to be. And when his friend Timmy McGibney decides that he's tired of covering for him, Charlie Joe finds himself resorting to desperate measures to keep his perfect record intact.

Charlie Joe Jackson's Guide to Not Reading by Tommy Greenwald is the hilarious story of an avid non-reader and the extreme lengths to which he'll go to get out of reading a book.

I can't imagine a boy who does not know how fun it is to read. This boy should stop trying to get out of reading and try it.

This book is really good. It teaches you a lesson about a guy who has to write a book because he got bad grades. I definitely recommend this book!! It is also about popularity a little.

Charlie Joe Jackson is one boy who hates to read and has never ever read a single book in his life. But now that he's in middle school, avoiding reading isn't as easy as it used to be.

This book was fast pacing and was a summer quick read. It was everything I hoped for: humor. This story caught my eye after I read Charlie Joe's Guide to Extra Credit, that too was a fun read so I read this. I'm a little sad that I didn't read the series in order, but it was still a funny book, I loved the characters and I liked how they all played in the story.

My friend read this book and she really really really loved the book.

charlie joe jacksons giude to not reading is mostly for boys but it was rather interesting and a little funny. i recommend this manly for boys.

Many of my friends love this book mostly because of the ways the author tries to get people to read while teaching them how not to read. Its sort of like visa versa and i honestly think that is very smart.

I have a few friends who read this and they say it's great! I do love reading but the reason i want to read this book is because i want to see the many different ways people want to secretly hide fake reading.

This book is about charlie joe jackson, and how he has a record of never reading a book before! Now he is in middle school and its becoming harder and harder.
