Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has won the annual Hunger Games with fellow district tribute Peeta Mellark. But it was a victory won by defiance of the Capitol and their harsh rules. Katniss and Peeta should be happy. After all, they have just won for themselves and their families a life of safety and plenty. But there are rumors of rebellion among the subjects, and Katniss and Peeta, to their horror, are the faces of that rebellion. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge.

This is the second book of the Hunger Game series. It talks more about what happens after the 74th hunger game and how the Capitol is mad at Katniss for eating the berries. It gave the citizens of the districts hope. The Capitol tries to kill her in the quarter quell.

This book was amazing, I could not beleive how great the second book was! Usually the second book in a series is a let down, but this one definately wasn't!

My favorite book of the Hunger Games Series. It was the most exciting out of all the three books, since it talks about a new setting and some new people. It had the action and the adventure-ness of it.

This book is about a girl named Katniss Everden. She previously won the hunger games(the hunger games is when 2 kids ages 12-18 from each of the 12 districts fight to the death in order to win food and money) then since it is about to be the 75th annual hunger games there is a special hunger games called the "Quarter Quell" and I'm not going to spoil it any more for the people who haven't read it yet but all I'm going to say is - there is going to be trouble foe katniss
