The story of The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas is very difficult to describe. Usually we give some clues about the book on the cover, but in this case we think that would spoil the reading of the book. We think it is important that you start to read without knowing what it is about. If you do start to read this book, you will go on a journey with a nine-year-old boy called Bruno. Though this isn't a book for nine-year-olds. And sooner or later you will arrive with Bruno at a fence. We hope you never have to cross such a fence.

Really good book and is very touching. It talks about the Holocaust and two pov's, of two boys and surprised me at the end

If you're going to comment the story, please type "SPOILER ALERT"!

I saw the movie and I started BAWLING in the classroom! It's really touching and emotional with lots of history. One of the mean girls in my class asked, "WHY are you crying?". I don't think she has a heart... and she also thought the Nazis were from London. :/

This book is SO good. If you have ever felt lonely and then met a cool friend, then you will definitely like this book. Two boys meet one day and bond. One is really rich and the other one is trapped in an internment camp. It is a very good story. Kind of sad, though.

its so sad!

This book was so powerful and tragic. The story is told through the innocent eyes of a young boy who happens to be the son of a Nazi officer, during the Holocaust. The young boy doesn't understand what was going on during that time period, not having any idea on what his father's job really was. After moving to a house nearby a concentration camp, the young boy starts to explore and eventually comes across another young boy, the same age as himself. They become friends, and two young, innocent boys eventually start to realize the real horrors of what was happening around them. It really was a spectacular book, and after I finished reading the book, the story still stuck with me.

Sssssooooo sad!!!
