I've read the blurb of this book, and it sounded really intriguing and abusive. I wonder how the girl turns out in the end. I think that this might be similar to another book I read, called "Chinese Cinderella".

This is a great book! It shows the hardships in life if u have a tough parent and sometimes you have to prove to what ur saying is rite! But, this book also gives a bad vibe to Chinese parents.....
I don't like this. It gave a bad vibe to Chinese people. >:((((( I probably won't read this ever again.
It is a very nice book but somewha sad also shows the hardships of life. Also inthis book it shows us how lucky WE are to be getting food and have a nice mom so the next time she buys something for you tell her how much you love her. But don't tell it to France's mom
