This book reminded me a lot of the Ally Finkle books, with a unique twist of its own. I loved the Grandma Bernice character and her advice. Definitely a good read.
This was such a funny book. I really loved Grandma Bernice, and Lula Bell was pretty cool too! I think I would love to have a Grandma just like Bernice. You should definitely read this if you love to laugh.
Lula Bell Bonner tries to fit in by not standing out, but her grandmother thinks the opposite. What will she do when she signs up for what she really doesn't want to sign up for? What will happen when all the crazy things happen to her? Follow her on a crazy, adventure around school.
Lula Bell is freaking out! She desperately tries to fit in but her wise grandma says to just be herself. When the dreaded talent show comes up, Lula really freaks out! What will she do?
While Lula Bell Bonner tries desperately to fit in by not standing out, her wise and irrepressible Grandma Bernice says: Let your light shine! It's Grandma Bernice who provides the joy that balances Lula Bell’s difficult school life, but when this balance is upended, when Kali Keele turns up the heat on her cruel teasing, and when the talent show –that she should NEVER have signed up for-- is about to happen, how in the world can Lula Bell cope?
It wasnt a bad book because it could relate to how some people want to try to fit in at school like many other people in school. But its okay to stand out of the crowd. I reccomend this book to anyone in 5th grade probably.
