Venus and Serena Williams are two of the greatest tennis players of all time. Some say they’re two of the greatest athletes of all time. Before they were world famous, they were little girls with big dreams.

Venus and Serena Williams. Two peas in a pod. Best friends. Sisters.

Six days a week they awoke before the sun came up to practice their serves and returns, to learn to run faster and hit harder. They were unstoppable. At age fourteen, Venus played her first professional match. Three years later, it was Serena’s turn. It wasn’t easy. Some tennis fans cheered for these two fresh faces, while those who were unhappy to see two black girls competing in a nearly all-white sport booed and taunted them. But they didn’t let it stop them.

With vibrant mixed media art, nonfiction superstars Lesa Cline-Ransome and Coretta Scott King Honor winner James E. Ransome share the inspirational story of two tennis legends who were fierce competitors on the courts, but close sisters above all.

The book I read was Game Changers and the author is Lesa Cline-Ransome and wien in 2018.It was an interesting book. It made me want to read it a second time. The setting felt so real. Venus and Serena Williams started playing tennis when they were four. Were they lived people were not nice. When they were playing tennis at night people shot guns.So they had to hide when that happened. Then they played for real Serena wanted to be like her sister. Now they both played for a competitive team. Personally I think the book is amazing.Venus and Serena inspired me to work hard.Somethings I liked about tennis is how you have to work very hard. One more thing about the book is when they played against each other .That’swhat I liked about the book. The story felt made me feel confident when you don’t win.At the end it said to always believe in yourself. Now I always watch them on TV.If the match is very long I still watch because I like it so much. It was the best picture book ever.I recommend this book to people that like tennis. This is my book review on Game Changers.
