A Wind in the Door, by Madeleine L’Engle is about a girl named Meg, who has a six-year-old brother named Charles Wallace. Charles Wallace thinks that he sees dragons, but it’s really a cherubim. A cherubim is a creature that looks like multiple dragons, that has lots of eyes and wings. The cherubim’s name is Progo. Charles Wallace is sick and Progo is there to help Meg make him better. Progo tells Meg that in order for her brother to get better, she has to go through three tests. The first test is that Meg has to figure out which Mr. Jenkins, who is the school principal, is the real one out of three. Then, Meg, Mr. Jenkins, and Progo go inside Charles Wallace to figure out why he is sick. Inside Charles, there are these creatures called farandolae, and Meg meets one of them that hasn't become a part of him yet, named Sporos. The second and third test is for Meg to convince Sporos to become a part of Charles Wallace. At the same time, an evil creature called an Echthroi is trying to get Sporos not to, so that Charles Wallace will die, and the universe will be destroyed. I love this book and definitely recommend it. I personally think that the first book in this series was better, but this one was great too. If you want to read this book you should read the first one before you do. Thanks!

It is November. When Meg comes home from school, Charles Wallace tells her he saw dragons in the twin's vegetable garden. That night Meg, Calvin and C.W. go to the vegetable garden to meet the Teacher (Blajeny) who explains that what they are seeing isn't a dragon at all, but a cherubim named Proginoskes. It turns out that C.W. is ill and that Blajeny and Proginoskes are there to make him well – by making him well, they will keep the balance of the universe in check and save it from the evil Echthros.
Meg, Calvin and Mr. Jenkins (grade school principal) must travel inside C.W. to have this battle and save Charles' life as well as the balance of the universe.

This is book 2 of these series. Meg's brother, Charles Wallace was sick, and Meg wanted to help him. Someone named Blajeny came and told Meg that she could help him. Meg and friends went inside Charles and looked for his mitotondria and found out that these things called Ecrothi were taking over. Someone else named Sporos, had to do this thing called deepening. It was the only thing to save Charles. A double of Meg's principal wanted to do the wrong thing that could kill Charles. They convinced Sporos to deepen and saved Charles. I loved this book.

(AWITD) In this book that I have already read but this book is very confusing with the cherubim Progo and the echthros (SW) I think it is going to be awesome once Charles meets the magically time traveling unicorn I've read the others before this one and i am still hooked on i cant believe they are all grown up except for Charles, wawawaaaann :( but hes at least fifteen so pretty close.
Echthroi is a "nothing" that tries to uname everyone. One day, Meg accidentally met a dragon in her garden and finds out she has a really serious mission to accomplish. To save his brother, Charles Wallace, from death by naming him and the " Echthroi". The author leads readers right into actions by giving them images from words and space to imagine. As I'm reading this book, I can feel the pain from Charles, and the courage deep inside Meg's heart. To be able to save him, they must travel deep within his soul to create the sound of universe.
Charles Wallace claims to have seen dragons. They're (or it rather) is not a dragon, but it's something even stranger. When Charles gets extremely sick, it's up to Meg, Calvin, and Mr. Jenkins (Yes, seriously, Mr. Jenkins) to save him before it's too late. What I thought of it: I liked the way the book was really deep, but so much that people my age and even younger wouldn't understand it. In fact, I think we might understand it more than some adults. As usual, Meg was slightly annoying, but Calvin's awesomeness made up for it. I liked the way Mr. Jenkins was portrayed. This book was probably better than the first book, which makes it the best in the series. Overall, it was a great book.
